HOME ARTS

Entries must be received by August 23rd; no late entries will be accepted.

CHECK IN TIME IS FROM 4:00 PM -6:30 PM TUESDAY, AUGUST 27th.

*** PLEASE NOTE*** Only ONE entry per class is allowed and in some cases there may be a restriction on how many entries per division.

RULES

• Indicate age if entering an under age 18
• Knitted exhibits must be hand-made. Machine made will not be accepted.
• No articles previously exhibited at the Hopkinton State Fair will be accepted
• Management reserves the right to not accept entries due to quality or not meeting criteria.
• The building will be open to drop off exhibits between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 27th.  It will close at 6:30 PM with no late entrance. Please allow adequate time to pick up and attach your own exhibitor cards prior to that time. All exhibits must be brought to the Home Arts Building at this time. Exhibits must remain in place until Monday, September 2, 2024. Exhibits may be picked up between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM Monday. No vehicles will be allowed near the Home Arts/Farmers Market Building on Monday evening. Exhibits may also be picked up between 9:00 AM – 10:00AM  on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
• Small items should be placed in zip lock clear baggies to prevent loss of parts.
• All photographs and art work MUST BE IN FRAMES (mats not necessary). Proper hanging devices MUST be attached to the frame and photographs or artwork must be securely held within the frame to prevent it from falling out when hung. Acceptable hanging devices are claw hooks or eye hooks with wire across the back. Frames with self hooks are also acceptable. No tape-held hardware will be accepted. Scrapbook pages or series photographs or art must also be in a frame with acceptable hanging hardware attached.
• Entrants under age 18 MUST have a parent or guardian sign entry form and accept responsibility for loss or damage to entries.
• We will do our best to assure your entry is handled with care however by signing the entry form you are accepting responsibility for any loss or damage done to your entry during the fair.
• Baked goods should be in clear plastic bags on disposable plates. Pies should be in disposable pie pans. Decorated cakes MUST be EDIBLE, and in order to fit in the refrigerator case the base tray of the cake can be no more than 12”X 16”.

Items not following the rules will not be accepted or displayed. No exceptions. American  system used for placement of ribbons and premiums.
